Pete Mead, a junior at Wyoming, captured the men's high jump title at the Mountain West Conference Championships with a first-attempt clearance at 6-9 (2.06m) at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium. Mead was one of three athletes to clear 6-9, but prevailed on fewer overall misses in the competition.
